Here is yesterdays featured pieces. The first is named: Reaching
This piece is truly and eye catching cool piece! Can be whatever you can imagine it to be. I have heard several different ideas of what people have seen. Just a beautifully colored piece! The reason this piece is named Reaching is, when I was painting this piece I was reaching down deep inside to find a new part of me to paint with. I believe it worked well because it started a whole new way in which I paint. I am always looking for new ways and interesting theories in the way I produce my artwork. As I say I am always in an experimental stage because I do not want to be labeled or stuck to one thing!
This next piece is: Quick Visit On Long Love Lake Whimsyville Series
This piece is one of my personal favorites and I waver whether it will become a part of my private collection weekly. For now this piece is still available for sale. I currently have it on sale for the lowest price I will ever take for it and it hurts! lol I kid you not since I am considering whether to sell it at all.
I am not sure where these pieces come from either. They are a fairy tale land that I live in my head! I would give anything to fall down a rabbit hole or something and end up here. What amazing scenery I would see in Whimsyville. Oh, and who wouldn't want to live in that house? The swirly trees dangling their hearts, the glorious sky..... I live in an amazing place in my head. Probably why I never want to sell these pieces. I can look into them and take myself there any moment of any day. I even have little stories to them usually. I just never have the time to write them down. :)
That's all I got time for now. Take care and smile and make someone else smile!

Right now as we speak my artwork is on its way to a new home in Virginia and I am awaiting word that another has made it to its home in Australia.
When I ship a painting they come with a certificate of authenticity registered with me and I build a box for each painting at time of sale. All my paintings are shipped next day unless holiday or a Sunday. I normally ship USPS priority mail. Little facts for those of you wondering :)
Today's featured piece that is also on a holiday sale is: Blissfully Blue

As you can see this piece is pretty much all blue. I love to pick a color that represents my mood and just go with it. Forget the fact that our world is not all blue. Maybe it should be at times, hmph. lol This is the second landscape that I have done in all blues. The first is sold and at its new home. I like the drama and depth that this piece gives off. When I look at this piece it makes me feel comfort, soothing sounds of water, and a curiosity of what is up around the bend. I am hoping up ahead is a little cozy shack that I can live in. When I painted this piece I was in a somber mood and I think this piece somewhat reflects that. Below is the first all blue landscape I did. That piece is called True Blue Through And Through, that piece is sold. Take care.

New Artwork
Good morning. Hard for me to keep up this blog when I am in the studio painting a lot! I will try my hardest though.
Have you ever just wanted to run away? I mean really wanted to run away, the kind where you would never be found. Maybe like to another time and place, maybe like an Alice In Wonderland? I would have to say if you do then you might just get a small peek into my mind.
Lately I have been living inside my head a lot. Plowing the fields of memory and emotions. I should think it is one of the reasons I'd like to run away. Run away from the past, from thoughts, and from the feelings the past evokes.
For some reason it has made me feel rather abstract, possibly because thoughts no matter how organized are pretty much abstract themselves. I mean no matter how you look at things there are always so many other ways to look at the same thing. The mind and how it interprets things is sort of like the facets of a diamond. There are just so many ways. Well anyways I should stop my minds ramblings and get on to the newest artwork.
The title of this piece is Soulful Satisfaction.

This piece is appropriately named. I started painting this piece with a very strict design in mind, well that didn't last! Before I new it my mind and soul took over and created what it wanted as usual. I find painting to be an escape, running away if you will. I mean how else can I describe the process. When I am asked it is always really hard for me to describe because it just happens.
I remember a time when I sat down at the easel with a scene in mind and no matter what I stuck to it and painted just that. That is also when I wondered how abstract art was created. Now I sit down at the easel, on the floor, or where ever and just create from my soul. No control, and now when I try to control it... it just rebels anyways :) So glad it does because I love this piece!!!! This one definitely satisfied what was inside me at the time. When and if my soul leaves me at some point it will be as vibrant and colorful as this. I think it will be able to be seen as it will demand your attention . Take care all.
